There is so much meaning for me behind the piece I had done today.
Most of you know that I spent three years living in Orlando working for Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. While I was living there, I was introduced to a wonderful place called the Pulse nightclub in downtown Orlando.
From the first time I visited Pulse, I was hooked. I felt like I had never had so much fun in my life. The welcoming people, the atmosphere, the dancing, and the talent shows on Tuesday nights where I got to watch my amazingly talented friend @iamariamiraj perform. So many memories were made on the nights I spent at Pulse.
So you can imagine my shock when I woke up one horrible morning in June of 2016 to see on the news that Pulse had been the site of a mass shooting. The worst mass shooting in United States history up to that date.
The shooting, of course, had the opposite effect of what the shooter intended. I have never seen a city become more unified than Orlando did after that horrible night.
We will not let hate win. We must love each other unconditionally despite our differences. One city, one love. One pulse. ️
